  • Hypnosis, or hypnotherapy, is a powerful tool that induces a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration. In this state, individuals experience heightened attention and suggestibility, making it an effective way to access the subconscious mind and achieve transformative change.

While hypnosis is often described as a sleep-like state, it is better expressed as a state of focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and vivid imagination.

By harnessing the power of your subconscious mind in this way, hypnotherapy can help you overcome barriers, break habits and achieve your goals with greater ease and effectiveness.

A trained and certified hypnotist/hypnotherapist guides you into a deep state of focus and relaxation with verbal cues, repetition and imagery. Your conscious mind is quieted and you’re able to tap into the subconscious part of your brain where your thoughts, beliefs, perceptions, sensations, emotions, memory and behaviors originate.

In this state, you’re more open to gentle guidance from your hypnotherapist to help you modify or replace the unconscious thoughts that are driving your current behaviors or habits, help to cope with anxiety or pain, or manage fears and phobias.

  • Hypnosis can be for just about everyone! If you have a desire for change, give permission to yourself to go into hypnosis and have the ability to follow simple instructions you can experience hypnosis. Have more questions on this topic, contact us here.

  • Virtual hypnosis absolutely works. You do not need to attend an in-person session or be in the same room with your hypnotherapist to experience an effective level of hypnosis. Some people feel even more relaxed and comfortable working from their own home or office, which can only add to the positive outcomes.

  • First, we will review your intake form, some medical history if needed and what you would like to address in your sessions. Then we will go over some basics of hypnosis and what you can expect from your sessions. Each session lasts an hour and your first session will be booked for 90 minutes to allow time for the initial intake process.

  • Here are a few tips to help you prepare for your session:

    * It can be natural to feel a bit anxious, uncertain and even excited about hypnotherapy, but just relax, trust and be open-minded to the process.

    * Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and can talk and express your emotions freely and loudly without friends or family members listening in or interrupting.

    * Wear comfortable clothing, use the restroom before we get started and try to avoid a large meal before your session.

    * Laptop or iPad is best to use. If possible, do not use your cell phone. Make sure whatever device you choose is plugged in and/or fully charged.

    * I will need to be able to see your whole face at all times so your device should be set up where it will not be disturbed. You can be seated or laying down, whatever is most comfortable for you, but I will still need to be able to see you.

    * You can use earbuds or headphones if you choose, just make sure they are charged.

    * Please test your equipment and internet connection before our call (sound settings - speaker and microphone).

  • Yes. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that our brains can use for beneficial purposes. There are a few instances where hypnosis would not be indicated for an individual including individuals with certain mental health diagnoses, young children or an individual who does not give their permission to participate in the process.

During your appointment, you are aware at all times. Hypnosis occurs in your own mind and is a tool you use to create positive change for yourself. The hypnotherapist is merely a guide during the session.

If you have any further questions on this, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • No, at this time I do not accept insurance. Your insurance provider may offer reimbursements for hypnosis so check with your provider and plan and I am happy to work with you to provide necessary documentation.
